Life was great for Zandaria, she loved school and life in general in Scotland. With the combination of blue skies, the cool crisp temperatures and the leaves were changing colors. She couldn't wait for her sister and brother to get there. She knew they would love it and then they would be away from mommy dearest and creepy Crawford. She knew that it would be best for them, the sooner they got away the better, like she had.
As Zandaria walked through the quad, her target a huge tree that she sat against almost everyday. When she was within a few feet of the tree her phone started to vibrate. She jumped slighting and pulled her phone from her pocket. She saw "Nic" and a picture of her and her sister flashing on the screen. She pushed the answer button before holding it to her ear. Hey beautiful. She said softly, hearing her young sister laugh. Zan! Guess what! Me and Royce! We got out acceptance letter from Buckley!!!! The young girl said with a squeal. That's amazing! You'll start in a few months then right? She asked excitedly. Zan! Zan!!! WE got in!!! WE get to come to school with you! It was Royce with time, her stepbrother who she loved regardless of his stupid father. Zan laughed softly. I'm so proud of you two! She said happily. Since you two took extra classes, you'll be able to come as soon as possible! She added. She could hear her parents in the back ground, yelling. We gotta go... Nic and Royce said in unison before the line went dead.
Zan sighed and put her phone in her bag before sitting against the tree and pulling out her books. She had homework to do, but now she was just so excited that she couldn't focus on her work. So, she pulled out her camera and just started to snap pictures of the different students and the buildings that surrounded the quad. She found her passion with photography and she knew that's what she wanted to do with her life. She already knew that she was going to go to college for photography and business, then she would be starting her own photography studio. She even considered moving to Scotland permanently. The people were great, the sights, culture, and it was just a great country. Plus, it got her far away from her mother and step-father. After what they put her through she would never go back there again.
